Portuguese Luis Maximiano joins Italian Lazio following a year spent in Granada, Spain, who were relegated to the Spanish third division.
Spanish club Granada confirmed that Portuguese goalkeeper Luis Maximiano, who played one season with the team, will join Italian Lazio.
After days of negotiations, Granada announced Maximiano’s departure to the Italian club, without specifying the value of the deal, but press reports said that the value of the deal amounted to 10 million euros, making the Portuguese goalkeeper the highest deal in the history of the Spanish club.

Maximiano, 23, moved to Granada last summer from Sporting Lisbon, in a deal that exceeded 4 million euros, to replace his compatriot Rui Silva, who moved to Real Betis following not agreeing to renew his contract with the Andalusian team.
Despite Granada’s relegation to the second division, Luis Maximiano was one of the team’s most prominent stars.
The Portuguese goalkeeper played a total of 3,137 minutes with Granada, divided into 35 matches, all as a start.
