Lazio Region, the Council of State confirms the election of Luciano Nobili. Dionisi’s appeal rejected –

The second section of the Council of State has fully confirmed the decision taken in March by the TAR of Lazio and rejected the new appeal presented by Pierluca Dionisi, definitively confirming the full legitimacy of the election of Luciano Nobili as regional councilor of Lazio. In particular, the Council of State has confirmed the validity of the verification operations ordered by the Administrative Court of Lazio, at the request of Dionisi himself, on 58 electoral sections, with the aim of making the verification of the actual will of the voters prevail over everything else. Verification that confirmed Nobili’s advantage in terms of preferences and his election.

The ruling highlights that “the appeal is unfounded” and that the thesis that supports it is “also documentaryly denied: a similar and uncontested convergence of the data contained in the aforementioned counting table and in the two aforementioned AR models, constitutes a serious, precise and concordant fact from which to deduce the correctness of the data attributed to the interested party NOBILI and conversely proves the absolute erroneousness of the appellant’s assumption”. The Council of State, therefore, in accepting the deductions of Nobili’s defense, confirmed the correctness of the actions of the magistrates of the District Electoral Office as well as the decision of the Lazio TAR.
