Innsbruck (OTS) – On August 21, 2023, the foundation stone was laid for the new company location of Koch alpin GmbH at Doktor-Franz-Werner-Straße 13 in Innsbruck. The company has been one of the leading manufacturers of climbing skins for touring skis since it was founded in 1978. In addition, the family business is an industry leader in the sale of outdoor equipment.
Due to the rapid business development in recent years, the decision was made to expand the Tyrolean family company Koch alpin. In close cooperation with the Tyrol location agency and the city of Innsbruck, it was possible to find a suitable plot of land, so that the company Koch alpin GmbH will relocate its headquarters from Mils near Hall to Innsbruck in the Mühlau/Arzl industrial park. The company takes over a municipal plot of land at Doktor-Franz-Werner-Strasse 13 (approx. 4,200 m²) with building rights. The current number of employees at the new location is to be increased from the current 20 to around 30 in several expansion stages.

The design by the Koch alpin company envisages a space-saving development, combined with a high density of jobs. In coordination with the city planning, a development of very high quality was also agreed. The design with underground car park, e-bike charging station, photovoltaic system and green roof corresponds to sustainable construction.
