The future of horror video games looks spooky thanks to Unreal Engine 5. A new look at Layers of Fear who uses the engine scared me so much that I promise myself never to play the game.
Bloober Team has unveiled a preview of its ‘remake’ of the first two games in the series Layers of Fearrevealing the Unreal Engine 5 features the games will use.

Thanks to the Lumen, Ray Tracing and Niagara options, Layers of Fear will be scarier and more realistic than ever and horror fans can rejoice. I wish I was as brave as you. The future of horror video games looks great!
The music has also been reworked to create a completely terrifying atmosphere.
The “remake” will include the first two games in the franchise as well as downloadable content, and a new chapter. This will be an opportunity for fans of the series to revisit it, or to discover it for the first time.
Layers of Fear sort on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in June.
