The Corruption Eradication COMMISSION (KPK) has finished investigating Bandung City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Ema Sumarna regarding the alleged bribery case for procuring surveillance cameras or CCTV in her area. He spoke sparingly when asked regarding this matter.
“To a lawyer, that’s enough,” said Ema at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 14 2024.
Ema rushed to leave the KPK’s Red and White Building following undergoing an examination. He only asked for prayers in this case.
“Please pray, please pray,” said Ema.
Ema’s lawyer, Rizky Rizgantara, agrees that his client is already a suspect in this case. Ema received the notification letter for the start of the investigation (SPDP) from the Corruption Eradication Committee on March 5 2024.
“Yes (SPDP since March 5 2024), that’s why it’s also a summons, that’s why we’re here today to fulfill the investigator’s summons,” said Rizky.

Rizky said his client was summoned as a suspect in the CCTV procurement bribery case. According to him, Ema has not yet thought regarding filing a pretrial regarding the legal status granted by the Corruption Eradication Committee.
“Oh, at the moment we haven’t (filed a pretrial),” said Rizky.
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) developed a case of alleged bribery in the procurement of surveillance cameras or CCTV in Bandung Smart City. A new suspect has been named.

“Several parties have been named as suspects (in the Bandung CCTV development case), both from the Bandung City Government executive and the DPRD legislative,” said KPK enforcement spokesman Ali Fikri at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 13 2024.
The Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s News Department was reluctant to provide details on the names of the suspects who had been named. However, based on the information gathered, there are five litigants in this case.
They are the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna, and four members of the Bandung DPRD, Riantono, Achmad Nugraha, Ferdy Cahyadi, and Yudi Cahyadi.
