This Thursday in the Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Dr. Bernard Goumou expressed concern regarding the maintenance and the insufficient number of police officers deployed in the field.
The head of government therefore seized the opportunity to invite the Minister of Security to take action.
“The Head of Government shared the observation that the personnel deployed in the context of maintaining order, securing people and their property remain far below what is needed. The Prime Minister noted that in the framework of the regulation of road traffic in some places no agent is posted”, regretted the Prime Minister.
To optimize the deployment of these agents in the field, Bernard Goumou invited the Minister of Security and Civil Protection “to take stock of the situation, propose possible solutions, express the urgent needs to be made available and proceed to a presentation of the situation in council”, explained the government spokesperson in the report of the Council of Ministers.
