Lavrov was taken to the hospital?… The truth in a video

After news that he fell ill and was taken to hospital prior to his participation in the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov appeared on Monday in a video, wearing casual clothes and sitting on the balcony of his hotel, denying the authenticity of the news.

Lavrov, 72, considered the news of his transfer to the hospital a “political game”, according to “Archyde.com”.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova published the video clip on her channel on “Telegram”, and it was reported by several media outlets, including the “Archyde.com” agency.

Lavrov said that he was “in the hotel at the moment, ready for the G20 summit.”

And the Associated Press, before publishing the video, had quoted 3 Indonesian government officials as confirming that the Russian Foreign Minister had been transferred to the hospital, following suffering a health problem following arriving to attend the G20 summit.

Officials told the agency that the Russian diplomat was being treated on the island of Bali for a heart condition.
