Lavrov called Biden’s visit to Kyiv a performance

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called US President Joe Biden’s visit to Kyiv a performance. The minister said that attempts to save the “Nazi regime” were futile.

“What’s new in this? You know, there is a performance. And so it continues. Everything works in this vein, from the point of view of our former Western colleagues and from the point of view of saving the Nazi regime. Attempts are futile,” believes Mr. Lavrov (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Joe Biden made an unannounced visit to Kyiv on February 20. According to Bloomberg sources, not everyone knew regarding him, even in the Pentagon and the White House. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan explained that Russia was warned of the visit “hours in advance.” However, Moscow did not begin to give security guarantees for the duration of the visit.

In Kyiv, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On the same day, the US announced $460 million in aid to Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian president, he is negotiating with the US for long-range weapons that were not included in past military aid packages.
