Laurent Vimont, president of Century 21 France, died at 61

He was inescapable in the real estate sector. The president of the first network of real estate agencies in France, Century 21, Laurent Vimont, died this Friday morning of a heart attack, the group reported. He was appointed president of Century 21 France in 2009.

Laurent Vimont began his career in real estate in 1984 and was very quickly integrated into the Century 21 network. Responsible for marketing franchises across France, he rose to prominence in the group and became vice-president of group. He was then appointed head of the French branch of the group in 2009, a few years following its takeover by Nexity. He appeared regularly in the press to analyze the real estate market.

“All our thoughts are now with his family,” the group wrote in a press release. Knight of the National Order of Merit then Knight of the Legion of Honor, Laurent Vimont was the father of five children.

Century 21 has more than 900 real estate agencies in France and is the French leader in real estate transactions and rentals.
