Launching the Beirut Art Film Festival in its ninth session

The founder of the Beirut Artistic Film Festival – BAFF and its artistic director, Alice Moghabgab, launched the ninth session of the Beirut Artistic Film Festival – BAFF, at a press conference held at the Beret Theater at Saint Joseph University. She said: “Art is a celebration of life, and we reject the slow death imposed on the Lebanese!”

Moghabgab unveiled the program of the ninth edition of the Beirut Artistic Film Festival – BAFF, which launches under the slogan “Freedom!”

The institute pointed out in a statement that the organizers of the BAFF Festival are highlighting, from November 7 to 17, historical artistic revolutions, in addition to a number of great cultural battles fought by visual artists, writers, architects, and dancers… in various parts of the world, which later formed a source. Inspiration that paved the way for big changes.

By screening 16 films and organizing two conferences with 10 experts and one exhibition, the organizers of the Beirut Artistic Film Festival – BAFF, along with its cultural partners, seek to confirm their confidence in a better future.

On December 21, 2023, the program for the winter and spring 2024 season will be announced, where 16 films will be shown in 38 screenings with 23 speakers around 9 round tables and 3 exhibitions. The Beirut Art Film Festival – BAFF organizes its activities in the following ten cultural centers: Cultural Association – Tripoli, Oriental Library – Saint Joseph University, Center for Arts and Humanities – American University of Beirut, Cultural Center – Tebnine, Center for Reading and Cultural Activation – Bint Jbeil, Adraj. Ehden – Zgharta Municipality, Gibran Museum – Bsharri, Hammana Artist House, Seville Theater – Sidon, Zahle Municipality.
