The Environment Waves Association launched the 2022 Beach Clean campaign for clean beaches by raising awareness and good practices for marine tourism facilities, to strengthen the relationship between daily business and the marine ecosystem.
The campaign is part of the COMMON program implemented in Italy, Tunisia and Lebanon, to raise awareness and monitor waste in the Mediterranean, protect the environmental heritage of beaches and promote dialogue with the management of marine facilities, tourists and citizens. To strengthen positive practices to preserve the natural ecosystem and spread awareness of the Ten Commandments that define good behaviors to reduce marine litter, which increases by 40% in the summer season due to pressure on the shore and limited coastal management systems at the public and local levels.
