On Twitter, leaker @Agrawalji_Tech revealed that Xiaomi plans to unveil the successor to the Poco X3 Pro, the Poco X4 Pro 5G, from February 28. We tell you everything we know regarding the smartphone.
Next February 28 we should see the launch of the Poco X4 Pro 5G. The mid-range smartphone is special to say the least, since it is a true copy of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G which was presented at the end of January. We also had the chance to test the new Redmi Note 11, the best smartphone under 200 eurosbut the Poco X4 Pro looks even more interesting.
Our smardroid colleagues were recently able to get their hands on the smartphone, and revealed in advance everything you need to know regarding it. Set apart a design inspired by the recent Poco M4 Pro 5G with its full-width photo module at the backthe Poco X4 Pro 5G takes up the entire technical sheet of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G is just a clone of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
Just like the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 695. Although the chip is much less powerful than its predecessor’s Snapdragon 860, it has the advantage of being much more energy efficient and, as the name suggests, compatible with 5G networks. The processor will be supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage on the most expensive variant.
At the front we find a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz frequency. The smartphone is powered by a massive battery of 5000 mAh and supports the recharge rapide 67 W, a first on a Poco smartphone. At the rear, the smartphone relies on a triple camera configuration, with a main sensor of 108 MP Samsung HM2, an 8 MP ultra wide-angle sensor as well as a 2 MP macro. Finally, the smartphone comes with Android 11, but with the new MIUI 13 overlay.
The most interesting feature of the Poco X4 Pro 5G will most likely be its tariff placement. The smartphone will certainly be cheaper than the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, but will ultimately offer the same technical data sheet. We therefore wonder how Xiaomi will differentiate the two smartphones for prevent the cheapest from cannibalizing the sales of the most expensive model.
