Towards the strengthening of French teaching in Tunisia

“We are convinced that mastering French in this country is a factor of cultural openness for all Tunisians, but it is also a guarantee of academic and university success and therefore of professional success and social advancement for young people. Tunisians. This is why, in recent years, we have greatly developed the French educational network in Tunisia… European Union, in a major program to strengthen the teaching of French in the Tunisian public education system… Digital technology has a crucial role to play in this area and we are convinced that through digital technology and through innovative formats that Tunisia will remain a country where the Francophonie will remain alive”, he underlined.

An international first

For his part, the president of Orange Tunisia, Marouan Mabrouk, affirmed that this project is a first on an international scale. “We have above all succeeded in developing this application in record time and we are certain that this application will be the enthusiasm of Tunisians with the richness and rarity of its content”. For her part, Nathalie D., of “France Television”, specified that this application will allow Orange subscribers to access the “France Television” offer (four linear channels and many hours of streaming) . “We are aware that our respective teams have worked hard to develop this digital product and adapt it to the expectations of the Tunisian market. “france.tv GO” is a proposal totally in line with our DNA, easy to use and rich in its diversity,” she said. On another level, Mabrouk specified that “Orange Fab Lab” is a symbolic place for the operator, since it is here where we have created an ecosystem for ten years and which has reflected the strategy of the company on the societal and civic domain. “It is from here that we have trained more than 40,000 young Tunisians and more than 70 accompaniments of more than 70 Tunisian startups trained in digital techniques. This strategy, which started more than 10 years ago, found this success and today has gone beyond the borders of Tunis and Grand-Tunis to settle in the regions… This center is duplicated in cities like Sfax , Mahdia, Le Kef, Sousse and Nabeul… Finally, but no less important, this experience, which is 100% Tunisian, has been taken over by the Orange group, which makes us even more proud, given that this project has been duplicated in all the countries where the group is present,” he underlined.
