Launch of a program with 15,000 jobs at stake

Speaking at the launching ceremony of this program, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, underlined that the “Awrach 2” program aims to create 15,000 jobs in the region and to continue to support the success of the “Awrach 1” program.

He said that the “Awrach 1” program has achieved great goals in the region thanks to the “exceptional mobilization” of all stakeholders, recalling that the official launch of the national program took place in the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq .

He specified that the success of this program is linked in particular to the adoption of decentralization and deconcentration in its management, in partnership with the prefectures and provinces, and its response to the real needs of the local population, noting that the program has made it possible, during its first year of implementation, to guarantee decent work to more than 100,000 beneficiaries, nearly 70% of whom do not have diplomas.

After highlighting the circular for the implementation of the “Awrach 2″ program, issued by the Head of Government, Mr. Sekkouri said that the program has undergone some amendments aimed at improving its implementation and achieving the objectives set”, in this case the allocation of a share of 20% of the overall number of priority projects at national level.

Concerning the sites for the support of sustainable integration, he noted that the beneficiaries will be integrated for a period of at least 12 months and will benefit from a strengthening of their skills through qualifying training financed by the State in the framework of employment promotion programs, with an incentive subsidy which will be granted by the State to employers to stimulate employment in the amount of 1,500 dirhams per month, for a period of 9 months for each integrated beneficiary, emphasizing that regular immigrants can benefit from the program, in accordance with the wise policy of HM the King aimed at opening up to the African continent.

For his part, Mr. Mhidia affirmed that the assessment of the “Awrach 1” program in the region is “very positive”, since it has made it possible to integrate 10,115 people in temporary worksites, of which 22% are women and 57% in rural areas, noting that regarding 1,986 people have been integrated in the framework of projects to support sustainable integration, of which 60% are women and 10% in rural areas.

For his part, the president of the regional council, Omar Moro, stressed that the council, in cooperation with the other territorial partners and stakeholders, will spare no effort to successfully implement the “Awrach 2” program.

This meeting was marked by the presentation of two presentations on the results of the first edition of the government program “Awrach” in the region, and the novelties of the second edition of the program, aimed at continuing the dynamic initiated, in order to ensure the integration of 250,000 beneficiaries.

It was also punctuated by the signing of agreements relating to the implementation of the “Awrach 2” program by the Minister of Economic Inclusion, the governors of the prefectures and provinces of the region, and the presidents of the prefectural and provincial councils.
