This Sunday, July 30, a patrol in civilian clothes from the Brussels North police zone observes the unloading of around a hundred bottles of laughing gas. “The vehicle transporting the bottles was not in order with a permit for the transport of dangerous goods”, specifies the police zone which also decided to control the trade located on the place Liedts in Schaerbeek, where the bottles were stored. “On site, 102 laughing gas bottles of three liters were found. The storage of these not being in accordance with the law, the bottles were seized”. The establishment did not have the appropriate environmental permit.
“The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the affixing of judicial seals to the establishment for a period of one week”, continues the area before passing on a preventive message: “the recreational use of laughing gas is a misuse of these bottles which can lead to risks for the health of those who consume it. If you are consumers or if you are witnesses of consumers and you have questions regarding the addiction that may appear, do not hesitate to consult the site to act in prevention and contact their prevention service”.
