Latvia will transfer its drones and radar systems to Ukraine

As European Pravda writes, he said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

According to him, Riga never forgets that it took upon itself coordination within the framework of the coalition of drones for Ukraine, in particular within the framework of military-technical cooperation between Ukrainian and Latvian businesses.

“I think over time we will have more media reports regarding the transfer of Latvian-made drones and radar defense systems to Ukraine,” Kutsevol noted.

In addition, he pointed to the development of cooperation between countries within the framework of the 155-mm projectile coalition.

“There are other areas of cooperation, but they cannot now be named from a security point of view,” the ambassador added.

Kutsevol also noted that now there is a search for opportunities to increase the number of Ukrainian military personnel whom Latvia accepts for treatment and rehabilitation – up to 150-200 per year.

He indicated that there are preliminary agreements, in particular with the Minister of Health of Latvia.

Earlier, Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said that the drone coalition for Ukraine might continue to expand in the future.

In mid-April, it became known that the Latvian government had decided to send the first batch of drones to Ukraine as part of a “drone coalition.”

Let us remind you that Great Britain, together with Latvia, heads the international “coalition of drones” formed within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine.
