Temperatures in Latvia will rise even higher on Friday, with the hottest weather since last summer expected. The south wind will increase, and thunderstorms are possible in Kurzeme, forecasters predict.
No precipitation is expected at night, there will be few clouds. A weak south-east wind will blow. Minimum temperatures are expected from +14 degrees in the eastern regions to +20 degrees in Riga and on the western coast of Kurzeme.
During the day the sun will be warm, some cloudiness is expected, which will increase in Kurzeme. In the afternoon short-term rains and in places heavy thunderstorms are possible, mainly in Kurzeme. In the evening the probability of thunderstorms will increase in the central regions of the country.
On Friday, in the western and central regions, gusts of south wind will increase to 9-14 meters per second. The air will warm up to +30…+33 degrees, on the coast the maximum temperature will be a degree lower.
In Riga, the last Friday of June will be sunny, with the possibility of thunderstorms increasing towards the evening. At night, a light south-east wind will blow, and the air temperature will drop to about +20 degrees, and during the day, a moderate south-south-east wind will blow, and the thermometer will rise to +32 degrees in the shade.
