Latino charged with murder in Charlotte; there is another suspect

Charlotte.- For the murder of a young man in Charlotte, a Latino was arrested and the police are looking for a second suspect.

On Thursday, September 26, Police found Khyre’ Jamaal Grier dead 25 years old, reported the Department of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Around 7:30 in the morning, the officerss responded to a call for service to check on the well-being of a person at a home on Eastcrest Drive, behind Adamary’s Restaurant and Pupuseria on Central Avenue.

Upon arrival, they discovered the young man with a gunshot wound, who was declared deceased at the scene. As a result of the investigation of this case, The police arrested Fabio Herminio Funes49 years old and of Hispanic origin.

That same Thursday, September 26, Funes was transferred to the Charlotte jail and charged with homicide.

However, Funes is not the only suspect in the murder.

The investigation is ongoing and as part of the investigation, detectives asked for help identifying a second suspect. Therefore, he shared a photograph of the subject to be able to locate him.

Police asked anyone with information that could help in the investigation to call Crime Stoppers at (704)334-1600.

He assured that callers will remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward of up to $5,000.
