Latin American School of Medicine “Dr. Salvador Allende” reaches its 16th anniversary

This Saturday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated another anniversary of the Latin American School of Medicine “Dr. Salvador Allende”, creation of Commander Hugo Chávez.

“Thinking of humanity, our Commander Chávez created the Latin American School of Medicine “Dr. Salvador Allende” (ELAM)a great training front, from which health professionals graduate, committed and willing to bring love and solidarity to every corner of the world”, highlighted the head of state through his social networks.

The ELAM arises on April 15, 2007 as a result of the integrationist agreement, commitment of Sandinowhich promotes the collaboration and political, economic and social complementarity of Latin American countries, committed to maintaining health as a fundamental right of the people.

The School is constituted as a vital space for the integration of peoples, nations and governments, committed to contributing to the training of comprehensive community doctors, with high scientific, technical, ethical and humanistic training, as well as professionals with a deep social and integrated into their own communities.
