Moscow. July 17th. INTERFAX.RU – Motorists who had been waiting all night to cross the Crimean bridge from the Krasnodar Territory began to turn around, an Interfax correspondent reported.

According to him, cars are moving along the road, which runs parallel to the auto-approach to the bridge.

According to the latest official data, there were 960 vehicles in the queue from Taman, the waiting time was about three hours. There were no difficulties from Kerch, according to the telegram channel with operational information on the approaches to the Crimean bridge at 00:00 Moscow time.

At 04:20 Moscow time on Monday, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced an “emergency” in the area of the 145th support of the Crimean bridge from the Krasnodar Territory. The movement of cars and trains on it was stopped. The authorities called for an alternative land route through the new regions.

The Crimean bridge with a length of 19 km is the longest in Russia and Europe. It opened in 2018. In 2022-2023, traffic on the bridge was partially restricted due to repairs following a truck explosion. After that, inspection of all incoming vehicles was introduced at the crossing, and the movement of trucks was prohibited.

Trucks use an overland route through new Russian regions, as well as the Kerch ferry, which has been closed since the evening for no reason.
