Some news has spread over the past few days about Mohamed El-Shenawy, goalkeeper of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, receiving an offer from one of the Saudi Roshen League clubs, in order to include him during the upcoming winter transfer period.

After El-Shenawy was linked to Al-Nasr Club during the last summer transfer period, without any negotiations taking place, the Egyptian goalkeeper’s name was linked to Damak Club, to include him in the winter of 2024.
Salah Al-Arfaj, the official spokesman for Damak Club, indicated during statements to Al-Midan Sports in the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, that the news of negotiations with El-Shenawy is not true.
Al-Arfaj said: “There are currently no negotiations on the part of Damak with Al-Ahly to include Mohamed El-Shenawy permanently, and what is being said in this regard is completely untrue.”

El-Shenawy is currently preparing to participate in the 2023 Club World Cup, which will be held in Jeddah this December.
