Latest Updates: Disappearance of SIDEP and the Implications for COVID-19 Testing and Reporting

SIDEP bowed out on the evening of June 30, without even a word of farewell from the CNAM or the Ministry of Health. There is just an impossibility to connect to the service. And with it disappear 320 million PCR or antigen test results.

And without further communication from the CNAM or the Ministry, we learn from the Official Journal of July 1, 2023 that COVID 19 has been since June 30 a notifiable disease. We will therefore have an “Appendix 36” on the site of Public Health France. Except that this evening July 2 Public Health France is obviously not aware (perhaps no one has thought to warn them?) and that we therefore do not know what sauce we are going to be eaten. Will we be “lucky” to have an online reporting service like It’s from that exists for AIDS and tuberculosis? or a new Cerfa as undrinkable as that of hepatitis A (random), to download, print, fill in by hand, and fax (!!) or scan then send by email (not secure!!) to the ARS?

And in the meantime? we are all going to be breaking the law (which no one is supposed to ignore). Or else no Covid test should be done: no test, no Covid, no declaration!

Especially since one point remains unclear: the C1.5 rating of antigenic tests theoretically requires information from SIDEP… which no longer exists. So can we still use this rating? Another point that the CNAM did not think to communicate to the liberal doctors.
