Some 50 Belgians are still present in the Gaza Strip, reported the FPS Foreign Affairs. This Friday, thousands of Palestinians are fleeing to the south of the Gaza Strip, following the evacuation order from the Israeli army which is violently bombing the Palestinian territory in response to a Hamas terrorist attack last weekend.

As it stands, any entry or exit is impossible from the Gaza Strip, which is under siege by the Israeli army. Bombed three times in recent days, the Rafah crossing point with Egypt remains closed.

More than 1,300 people have been killed in Israel since the bloody attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on October 7 from Gaza, the Israeli army said on Friday in a new toll revised upwards. More than 3,200 people were also injured, while the families of 120 hostages were contacted following the Hamas attack, the army added. According to the Israeli government, more than 150 Israelis, foreigners and dual nationals, are being held by the Palestinian Islamist movement.

In the Gaza Strip, at least 1,799 people have been killed in Israeli strikes since the start of the war, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Friday. The ministry reported in a press release the “martyrdom of 1,799 people, including 583 children and 351 women”. He added that more than 7,000 people had been injured.
