Latest Social Elections Results: FGTB Dominates in Wallonia, CSC Leads in Brussels and Flanders

The results of the latest social elections showed that in Wallonia, the FGTB is the main union in what are called “industrial and commercial companies”.

In the “establishments without economic purpose”, the non-profit, the CSC, had lost feathers in 2020 compared to previous years, but still received 55.7% of the votes. She held an absolute or relative majority in many districts. In Ath, Bastogne, Philippeville and Soignies, it was the FGTB which was in the majority, absolutely or relatively. In this area of ​​companies with no economic purpose, the liberal union CGSLB only reached 10% in the districts of Charleroi, Thuin, La Louvière and Namur.

In the Brussels Region, in industrial and commercial companies, the CSC was in the lead with 45.5% of the votes, compared to 34.2% for the FGTB. The CGSLB, always stronger in Brussels than elsewhere, had exceeded 20% in this type of company.

Still in Brussels, in the non-commercial sector, the CSC was also in the lead, with 52.0% of the votes, ahead of the FGTB with 33.9% of the votes and the CGSLB with 14.1%.

In Flanders, in industrial and commercial companies, the CSC was the leading union, with 50.1% of the votes, ahead of the FGTB at 35.2% and the CGSLB at 14.7%.

In the non-commercial sector, in Flanders, the CSC was at 60.7%, the FGTB at 23.2% and the CGSLB at 10.3%.
