From Senapred they delivered a report updated by front system that affects different regions of the country.
“At the moment, 41 emergency homes are reported with some type of affectation and 70 (non-emergency) homes with various damages as a result of this meteorological event,” they said from the Government.
They also indicated that “Between the regions of Ñuble and Los Lagos, there are 102,523 customers without electricity supply.”
As a result of this, the technical agencies of the National Disaster Prevention and Response System are deployed on the ground, raising the cadastres of the affectation registered in the southern zone of the country, product of the frontal system with strong precipitations and winds, mainly between the Ñuble and La Araucanía regions.
Emergency housing situation
Preliminarily, they indicated that out of a universe of 1,219 emergency homes installed as a result of the rehabilitation process due to forest fires, the following are reported in the Bío Bío region: 29 with some degree of affectation, mainly due to minor leaks, and three with damage greater in the commune of Tomé, due to the blowing up of roofs, as a result of winds with gusts of over 80 km per hour, registered in the Veguillas and Camino al Espino sectors.
On the other hand, in the Ñuble region, Quillón commune, minor leaks are reported in nine emergency homes, four of which were not inhabited. This situation is being addressed by municipal staff.
It should be noted that in the case of emergency housing that resulted in some type of damageimmediate measures have been taken with the supplier companies, so that the associated guarantees are made effective and the repairs are carried out.
Sistema frontal
The frontal system in the Bío Bío region has caused trees to fall, electrical service interruption, flooding and leaks (under evaluation) in another 64 homes not considered emergency, of these 58 have minor damage and six with major damage. The loss of commercial craft posts in Arauco, as a result of the wind, was also reported.
On the other hand, in the region of La Araucanía, 5 houses (non-emergency) with damages are registered, while in Los Ríos a house is reported in similar conditions in the commune of Valdivia.
Finally, the authorities -at different levels- are attending to emergency situations and carrying out cadastres to provide a prompt solution to the affectation caused by this frontal system.
