The price of eggs witnessed a significant decrease in the market, as the price of a carton of red eggs reached 94 pounds on the farm, while the value of a plate of white eggs reached 89 pounds on the farm, while the price of a kilo of poultry reached 65 pounds for the consumer on the farm; Which reflects positively on the citizen when buying.
Mr. Al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, had announced the release of the largest amount of fodder at once, 308 thousand tons, “corn and soy”, at regarding $134 million, which represents the largest amount of fodder released since 10/16/2022 until now.
This comes within the framework of implementing the directives of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, regarding following up the release of production requirements. Al-Qusayr added that during the period from 4/5/2023 to 11/5/2023, 308 thousand tons of corn and soybeans were released, with regarding 134 tons. One million dollars, which is an unprecedented amount of releases since 10/16/2022
He added that the release included 251,000 tons of corn, at a value of regarding $90 million, and regarding 57,000 tons of soybeans, at a value of regarding $43 million, as well as feed additives worth regarding $1.4 million, to be the total of what was released during the period from (October 16, 2022 to May 11, 2023). 4.7 million tons, including 3.5 million tons of corn, 1.2 million tons of soybeans and feed additives, with a total amount of $2.3 billion.
Al-Qusayr stressed that the release aims to provide quantities of corn and soy in the market, which are the basic ingredients for poultry feed, as well as farm animals.
The Minister of Agriculture stated that there is continuous follow-up and full coordination with the Central Bank and the banking system, and with the support of the Prime Minister personally, to release suitable quantities of corn, soybeans, raw materials and feed additives from Egyptian ports.
