Another earthquake occurred in the Gloggnitz area (district of Neunkirchen/Lower Austria).
Two earthquakes occurred within a few hours on Whit Monday in the Gloggnitz area. At 2:23 a.m., a magnitude of 3.0 was recorded, and the strength of an earthquake at 6:46 p.m. was given by the Austrian Seismological Service (GeoSphere Austria) as 3.2. In both cases, vibrations were clearly felt in the immediate vicinity. There might also be minor damage, it said.
On March 30, in the late evening hours, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 shook the Gloggnitz area. It was clearly noticed by the population. Numerous reports of minor damage were recorded. Since then, there have been numerous followingshocks in the region.
