In the latest developments in the case of “Momo” and those with him, the Court of Appeal in Casablanca decided to postpone the case today, Wednesday, July 10, until next week due to the session coinciding with the national strike being waged by employees of the Ministry of Justice.

The public prosecutor confirmed in the previous session during his follow-up pleading that “what the three defendants did was a disregard for the security institutions, with regard to their claim that the security forces did not respond to the fictitious complaint,” highlighting the seriousness of the criminal act manifested in fabricating a theft over the airwaves compared to the number of listeners who were listening.

The Public Prosecutor explained that “the three defendants participated in the crime, each from his position and the charges attributed to them through the statements made before the judicial police and before the court, in addition to the questions whose answers were vague and unconvincing,” adding: “For us, all of these are indications confirming the involvement of “Momo” and that he is the main perpetrator of this studied scenario.”

The Casablanca Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced prominent radio presenter Mohamed Bousfiha, known as “Momo,” to 4 months in prison on charges of fabricating a fictitious theft crime, publishing false news that undermines citizens’ sense of security through information systems, and insulting an organized body by providing false information.
