Latest Court Rulings on Mortada Mansour’s Defamation Cases and Fines

Today, Saturday, the Fifth Circuit, in misdemeanors of cassation, decided to extend the sentence in 6 appeals filed by Counselor Mortada Mansour once morest rulings fining him in defamation and defamation cases, to the July 22nd session.

Lawyer Muhammad Othman, Al-Ahly’s legal advisor, said that 5 appeals once morest fines were issued once morest Mahmoud Al-Khatib and members of Al-Ahly, and an appeal related to Malika Khalil and Maysa Khalil, two members of the Zamalek Club.

The fines imposed on Mortada Mansour range between 10,000 and 90,000 pounds.

It is noteworthy that the Court of Cassation earlier upheld a one-month prison sentence for Mortada Mansour on charges of insulting “Al-Khatib”, and the authorities released him following serving his sentence in Wadi El-Natrun Prison.

The ruling with a penalty restricting freedom caused the Ministry of Youth and Sports to issue Resolution No. 500 of 2023 to implement the administrative court ruling in 4 cases dismissing Mortada Mansour from the position of president of Zamalek Club.
