Latam cancels 53 flights due to covid-19 infection

The airline Latam Colombia pointed out that the omicron variant of the covid affects 18% of the members of its crews and operational personnel, for which it should adjust flight schedules until next week.

The company explained that it is not alien to the reality of the current context that airlines are going through worldwide, as a result of the increase in cases reported by the new variant of covid-19, “for this reason and taking into account the rapid progress that has registered the new variant, which to date affects 18% of our crew members, the decision has been made to cancel early 53 flights from January 8 to 16, which corresponds to 4.5% of the operation in these 8 days, seeking the safety of our clients and collaborators ”.
