László Vizoviczki can be released this year

Thanks to a court decision favorable to him, László Vizoviczki, the former owner of Hajógyári Island, can even leave the prison this year, Magyar Nemzet has learned. Years ago, the disco pope was sentenced to seven years in prison for budget fraud and bribing police officers. As the criminal organization was found guilty in both cases, he might not receive a discount. However, a few years ago, the two sentences were included in the total sentence.

According to our information, in connection with the total punishment, thanks to a motion for legal remedy, a new, non-binding decision was made in December last year, which was favorable for Vizoviczki, whose total punishment was thus shortened to eight years and a few months. The fact of the court decision was also confirmed to our newspaper by the Capital Court.

According to this, the former owner of Hajógyári Island can be released this year, as he will be credited with the period he spent under arrest and under house arrest (under criminal supervision according to the new criminal procedure law). However, Vizoviczki has been under arrest and under house arrest for many years since the proceedings were initiated once morest him. The decision has not yet become final, because the prosecutor’s office has filed an appeal.

250 million landed on Vizoviczki’s account

Our sources with knowledge of the case also added that the disco king still has to pay the fine exceeding HUF 100 million, which was determined by the court in the final judgment.

If he does not do this, he will have to enjoy the hospitality of the prison for months, since in that case the fine will be converted into additional “prison days”.

Of course, there is little chance of the latter, if only because Vizoviczki has meanwhile already received back the record sum of HUF 250 million bail, with which he avoided arrest for a while. Of course, there is nothing special regarding this, since this money will be returned to the person concerned following the final judgment has been served.
