Before saying goodbye to the WRC license, Kylotonn announces WRC Generations, a game that intends to take us on a journey through the ages.
The sequel to WRC 10 is coming and it’s not WRC 11
After shaping the excellent WRC 9 et WRC 10, Kylotonn Games returns behind the wheel to deliver an all-new opus. Yes, it was during Bigben Week that the French studio announced that the WRC family is hosting an eleventh episode. Besides, the latter, to remind us of his desire to take us on a journey through the history of rallying, will not be called WRC 11, but rather WRC Generations.
As you have understood, WRC Generations lives up to its name, since it will offer players the opportunity to discover the latest motorized machines that like to roll in the mud, but also 37 historic cars who marked the history of the discipline. That’s not all, we also learn that the game will feature cars with hybrid engines (a novelty for the saga) and will take us on a journey through more than 20 destinations different issues from the official WRC calendar, starting with the rally in Sweden which you can see in the images below.
Finally, we learn that the Career mode will be back. It will be accompanied by a League mode, a livery editor and an improved team system.
Last lap for Kylotonn
As the episodes get better every year, note that this will be the last time Kylotonn gets to work on the WRC license. Indeed, the latter will land in the hands of Codemasters, an Electronic Arts studio expert in racing games, next year. So we don’t know what the future of the brand will be like, but in the meantime, this WRC Generations already has a release date. Eh yes, the game will land from October 13th sur PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S et Nintendo Switch.
