The pop punk group Meet Me at the Altar, which was to play as a curtain raiser at the Green Day show on Sunday at the Festival d’été de Québec, is withdrawing. It will be replaced by the Acadian punk group Peanut Butter Sunday.

The Festival organization announced this change on Sunday, a few hours before the trio’s performance on the Plains of Abraham.

According to the FEQ, Meet Me at the Altar was forced to cancel due to transportation logistics issues.

The Acadian punk group Peanut Butter Sunday will therefore be able to play just before Bad Religion and Green Day.

The organization of the Festival d’été de Québec had to juggle multiple last-minute cancellations this year.

Christine and the Queens and Lil Durk have canceled their performances.

Saturday, the artist Patrice Michaud was forced to cancel his presence at the FEQ for health reasons.

Canceled due to bad weather, the Cowboys Fringants show on the Plains has been exceptionally moved to Monday.
