In 1994, the happy couple welcomed their first daughter. After 6 years, Mr. Minh moved to work at Northern Helicopter Company, Ms. Ngan once once more followed her husband to Hanoi.

“Where he goes, I follow,” the wife confided. New life in Hanoi is difficult, her husband’s work is hard, Ngan has not considered having more children. 10 years following giving birth to their first daughter, the happy family welcomed another son, now a freshman at the University.

Pilot Chu Quang Minh’s mother-in-law sat down at the altar.

As a pilot’s wife, Ngan never “knew her husband’s leave date”. After 30 years of being together, she said the time spent together was very little, giving way to her husband’s passion for work.

All domestic and foreign work, the wife alone takes care of. On holidays and Tet, Mr. Minh arranges to go back to his hometown first, then go to Hanoi to respond at home, when he receives the phone, he will go to emergency flights.

When the male pilot went abroad for a few weeks, flew for a service for months, Ms. Ngan stayed at home to take care of the children, so that her husband might work safely. On one occasion, Mr. Minh took a leave of absence and returned with his wife to his foreign hometown of Hai Phong. When he was regarding to eat, he received the order and took an emergency car to Hanoi.

“I know that my husband loves his job and has never intended to change jobs,” she shared.

Familiar with her husband’s busy schedule, Ms. Ngan cherished the rare days he was at home. On the way home, he often chats with his daughter who works in the same company and talks regarding his profession. Those were his peaceful moments with his family.

According to Ms. Ngan, from now until the end of the year, pilot Colonel Chu Quang Minh plans to retire. She wished in the future that the couple would spend more time together and travel more comfortably.

But that all stopped, following a flight.
