Next year, the V8 engine in RAM’s pickup models will be replaced by a new six-cylinder turbo engine.
The new machine is better in both power and efficiency – but for those who want a rumbling V8 under the hood, it’s time to make a move before it’s too late.
The year 2024 marks the end of an era for RAM. Gone is the iconic V8 HEMI engine, to be replaced in 2025 models by a twin-turbo straight-six engine called the HURRICANE.
The new engine is better on most measurable points. It has more power and more torque, while consuming less fuel. But the sound and feel of a real V8 we know many will miss, regardless of what the numbers say. If you are one of them, we just want to say one thing: it is not yet too late.
RAM 2024: The end of an era
Exclusive Cars, Sweden’s single largest retailer of RAM Trucks, thanks the HEMI engine with three fully equipped versions of RAM that can be ordered now: Laramie Night Edition, Limited Night Edition and last but not least TRX Final Edition in limited edition. All are pickups that combine raw power with luxury and style.
RAM’s slogan is “Guts. Glory. Frame.” This reflects the robustness and elegance of the model. The model blurs the lines between an SUV and a traditional pickup with its sophisticated interior and high-quality finish. Since 2019, RAM has dominated the market with its stylish design and superior features such as active air suspension, which is unique in the segment.
The 5.7 liter eight is not just an engine. It is a small part of the American dream. It represents power, performance and durability and has been loved by enthusiasts worldwide for decades. It’s not the world’s most modern engine, but at Exclusive Cars they know that rationality isn’t everything. Their customers choose a car with their heart. They treat themselves to something that makes them happy, and that appeals to that child that we all have inside.
RAM 2025: Better on all counts
When one door closes, another opens – and the RAM 2025 is here to revolutionize the pickup world. With the introduction of the HURRICANE engine, a straight 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine, RAM takes performance and efficiency to new levels.
The new 2025 RAM has not only received an updated engine but also a completely new design both inside and out. The charmingly robust appearance remains, but is complemented by modern technology, new screens, more finesse and better comfort and safety.
With the HURRICANE engine, RAM is betting big. This engine, which by all accounts will also be used in the muscle car Dodge Charger, offers more power than the previous V8 engine, while being significantly more fuel efficient. The Laramie versions get 426 hp and 636 Nm, while the more powerful Limited models get a whopping 547 hp and 706 Nm. Even the slightly later planned RHO, the successor to the TRX version, model gets the stronger engine.
Just like today’s models, the new RAM is also expected to be E85-rated in Sweden, which makes it an even more attractive choice for future car owners. It not least provides a favorable benefit value for all of you who have a company car.
Work trucks with soul
RAM buyers are looking for more than just a vehicle. They want a lifestyle, a sense of success and a little piece of the American dream. Owning a RAM is showing the world that you don’t go with the flow. It is a celebration of success and hard work. Exclusive Cars also sees a clear increase in self-expression in the cars. Customers want to custom build and personalize them like never before. RAM pickers are bought with emotion.
RAM 2024 and RAM 2025 represent two sides of the same coin – a tribute to the past and a look to the future. While we say goodbye to the iconic V8 HEMI engine, we welcome the revolutionary HURRICANE engine. It’s an exciting time to be part of the RAM family, and whether you choose to celebrate the end of an era or the beginning of a new one, RAM is here to deliver power, style and an unbeatable driving experience.
