The airline company Qantas took delivery of its 14th and final Boeing 787-9 Dreamlinerwhile Qatar Airways welcomed its 24th Airbus A350-1000 – 16 others are still awaited.
The 125th aircraft of the Australian national company, arrived on July 23, 2023 at the airport of Melbourne-Tullamarine, was also the 14th and final 787-9 expected. The aircraft registered VH-ZNN (MSN 66078 and line number 1051) and like the previous ones configured by Qantas to accommodate 42 passengers in Business class, 28 in Premium and 166 in Economy (236 seats). The aircraft had made its maiden flight in Everett in November 2021, before Boeing production problems; it spent over two years in long-term storage in Victorville.
The alliance company Oneworld no longer has any Boeings in its order book, which still includes 29 Airbus A220-300twenty A321XLRand the twelve A350-1000 of the Sunrise project of ultra-long direct flights between Sydney and London or New York.
Remember that Qantas 787-9s are already deployed on its longest flightsconnecting Auckland to New York, Melbourne to Dallas or Perth to London.

At the airport of Doha-Hamad Internationalit is the 24th Airbus A350-1000 of Qatar Airways which landed on July 21, 2023: the MSN 444 registered A7-AOD is like the three delivered since June configured to accommodate 24 passengers in Business class and 371 in Economy (395 seats), another less dense layout in 46+281 (327 places) having been used until now.
This 58th A350 in the fleet of the Qatari national company has the particularity of being the last to have been stored during the war between it and Airbus (now settled amicably; deliveries resumed in mid-May), its maiden flight dating back to June 2022. The aircraft had since been stored in Châteauroux. The Oneworld alliance company is now awaiting the arrival of sixteen new A350-1000s, twelve of the 34 A350-900 delivered being still nailed to the ground.
