LASK: World record attempt in the cup hit against Salzburg

Around 20 minutes before kick-off of the cup highlight, LASK and the stadium visitors started a world record attempt in simultaneous resuscitation training. In order to raise awareness of resuscitation and emphasize the importance of first aid, the club launched this initiative in collaboration with the partners State of Upper Austria, Sportunion and the Hand aufs Herz association.

The current world record for simultaneous resuscitation, set in Münster, Germany, is 12,000 people. The aim is to surpass this mark in the run-up to the cup game once morest RB Salzburg and enter the Guinness Book of Records. In return, each viewer receives a small foam heart and an information folder in advance. The action starts around 20 minutes before kick-off and will last around ten minutes, with resuscitation lasting two minutes.

The LASK would like to focus on the topics of health and exercise and support the population in developing a healthy lifestyle and at the same time learning life-saving skills. “With this world record attempt, we would like to draw attention to an extremely important topic. Providing first aid is the responsibility of all of us. With this initiative, we want to help raise awareness and point out that in an emergency, quick action is required to save people to be able to help and even save lives,” says LASK CEO Siegmund Gruber:
