LASK transfers striker to Germany

Lucas Copado is returning to Germany for the time being: The 20-year-old offensive player is moving on loan to German third division club Cottbus.

He was unable to establish himself with the Athletikers in his first six months. After moving from Bayern Munich’s second team to Linz in January, Copado made five competitive appearances, most recently in the ÖFB Cup against Gurten (3:0).

Cottbus has been promoted to the third division and has no points after two games. On Saturday, their opponents will be fellow promoted team Aachen. “We believe that Lucas will help us in the third division with his style and game idea,” said Claus-Dieter Wollitz, coach of the Lausitz team.
