LASK signed ex-Salzburg player Valon Berisha

The 30-year-old midfielder signed a contract with the third-place team in the Bundesliga that is valid until the summer of 2026. For the Kosovar, it is a return to Austria: between the summer of 2012 and 2018, he scored 31 goals and 51 assists in 167 Bundesliga games for Salzburg, winning the championship title five times.

Berisha then also laced up his boots at Lazio Rome, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Stade Reims and Melbourne City.

Last season he was loaned to Australia by the French first division club, and the offensive player has been without a club since September 1st. “He brings outstanding skills and fits our requirements profile perfectly with his strengths and style of play. We are convinced that he can take on a leadership role with his routine and will further improve our game,” said LASK managing director Radovan Vujanovic. Berisha is a 40-time Kosovo national team player.
