Lasarte-Oria Mountain Race: Results, Winners, and Highlights

Around 140 runners gathered this past weekend at the Lasarte-Oria Mountain Race, organized by the Lasarte-Oria Trail Association (LOTME).

With the usual nerves at the start, the participants prepared to start it. On the ascent to Buruntza, Ibai Makazaga opened the gap and reached control earlier. 48 seconds later, Oier Zubeldia from Amezketa did it.

When it was time to go down, the Oriotarra also hurried and was the first to cross the finish line, thus taking the race with a time of 1:10:06. In second position there was a change, since Zubeldia was not fine in the descent and three riders passed him: Ander Amonarriz (1:10:53), Beñat Bereziartu (1:11:22) and Unai Fernández (1:12:26 ). For her part, María Ordóñez from Pamplona was the one who dominated the female category. She took the lead from the beginning, surpassing Rebeca Mariño from Baztandarra by almost four minutes in Buruntza and at the finish line she also confirmed first place with a time of 1:18:45. Behind her, Rebeca Mariño (1:22:32) and Erika Álvarez from Areso (1:27:31).

As for the local runners, the first to arrive were Jon Presa, who was eighth with a time of 1:14:45, and among the lasarteoriatarras, the fastest was Irati Urruzola, in 111th place (1:55:21 ).
