LAS VEGAS – Justin Davidson, 36, was identified as a suspect who this Wednesday killed two people, including his own mother, and stole three vehicles, before being shot dead by police in Las Vegas.

Sheriff’s Deputy Yasenia Yatomi reported that officers shot at least 53 times at the suspect that morning.

OFFICIALS INVOLVED

This Friday the names of the officers involved in this shooting were also released: Jacob Mekeel, Timothy Brooks, Martin Moran, Danny Kincaid and Luis Villanueva.

In the early morning of December 27, the authorities made a strong police deployment to find the capture of the suspect, who before attacking the Hispanic worker Jerry López had shot dead his own mother, Liza Leveille Davidson, in the 7500 block of Placid Street .

During the chase, a shooting occurred in the area of ​​Blue Diamond Road and Durango Drive, involving officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD) and Nevada State Police.

A few meters from Blue Diamond Road, a second crime scene was established, near Pebble Road and El Capitan Way.

The suspect initially fled aboard a patrol car, triggering a chase to South Durango Drive. It was added that in the middle of the chase, the suspect also stole two other private vehicles and threatened a civilian, so the officers were forced to shoot.
