UD Las Palmas sealed their pre-season with a prestigious draw against Liverpool FC (0-0), in the match that served as a dress rehearsal for the start of the 2024-25 League. The eighth friendly served to check the players’ condition, their understanding of the system and to verify Scott McKenna’s first minutes in the jersey of the Pintaderas.
Las Palmas approached the match with personality, setting up their field of operations in Liverpool’s half from the start. Moleiro was the first yellow player to try his luck. He did so twice during the first 10 minutes, although he was unable to surprise the defence and goalkeeper Kelleher.

However, the final great chance of the match was for the Canary Islands. Kirian found a path for Benito and the player from Aldea placed a precise ball in the area. However, Iván Gil did not connect with the shot when he was already in front of Kelleher and there were only 3 minutes left until the end.
