It had already been hinted at, now it is certain!

Lars Stindl returns home. The 34-year-old is moving to Karlsruher SC for the coming season, as the Baden team announced on Friday afternoon. The offensive player signed a contract for the coming season with the ninth-placed player in the 2nd Bundesliga.

“I’m really looking forward to coming home with my family and to playing again for KSC – the club where everything started,” said Stindl. From 2000 to 2007, the veteran played in all of Baden’s youth teams and also shaped the former European Cup participant’s last Bundesliga years.

Stindl waives salary

The family man Stindl had recently built a house near Karlsruhe. “We would like to thank Lars in particular for the financial support. Without this, a commitment within the framework of our planned management structure would not have been possible,” said Managing Director Michael Becker.

Stindl moved from KSC to Hannover 96 in 2010, five years later he moved to Gladbach. In 2017 he won the Confederations Cup with the German national team.
