But there is still no trace of the 60-year-old from Öpping in the Rohrbach district, who on Tuesday morning in short, dark pants and a blue T-shirt, but without a wallet or mobile phone, got on his dark e-mountain bike and rode away. The man never showed up at a hairdresser’s appointment or at work.
“You can come a long way with an e-bike. The vicinity of the house was searched for hours, but then you reach your limits – it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack,” says the Rohrbach district police command. However, police patrols are still on the lookout for the man and his e-bike, and neighboring Germany and the Czech Republic have also been informed.
