Launched in June 2021 by the Head of State Faure Gnassingbé, the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA) continues to attract investors for the establishment of production or processing plants.

The latest information is that by the end of the first half of 2023, there are plans to launch a large NPK fertilizer plant at PIA by Singaporean Nutrisource.

The infrastructure is already in place, with in particular equipment which is in the process of being put in place. Once opened, the plant is expected to reach a production capacity of 200,000 tons per year to improve the supply of quality fertilizers for agricultural producers.

Nutrisource’s ambition is for each region to be supplied with nutrients with high agricultural potential from a satellite blending plant, as well as an import and distribution activity.

The infrastructure represents a set of investments valued at CFAF 4.9 billion. Its contribution to boosting the agricultural sector is eagerly awaited by the Togolese authorities, as is the potential for job creation and the strengthening of a competitive agro-food industry.
