Traffic accident on Axenstrasse – now the passage is free once more
A traffic accident occurred between Sisikon and Flüelen on Tuesday followingnoon. Axenstrasse was closed for around two hours.

The road between Sisikon and Flüelen was closed on Tuesday at around 4.30 p.m. due to a traffic accident, as also reported by the Schwyz canton police:

The Schwyz fire brigade was called out. She regulated the long-distance traffic at the Wolfsprung. The journey to Sisikon was possible from Brunnen.
An ambulance from Uri moved out. A Rega helicopter landed in the Tellsplatte area, but quickly flew back to Uri. According to initial information, the accident happened just north of the Tellsplatte. Clean-up work at the scene of the accident began before 6 p.m. The towing service arrived and the road was reopened to traffic before 6:15 p.m. It is not yet known whether anyone was injured and how serious any injuries are. gh
