Against all odds, because the Red Bull had been consistently fast, Norris was able to hold off the champion and even widen the gap to get safe from their attacks (towards the end of the Grand Prix, the difference was 7s612). Crowned with victory, the Briton discharged the tensions of five years without standing on the first step of the podium, which he had visited 15 times until this Sunday: “It’s regarding time, right? What career! I’ve been waiting for it for a long time and I finally got it. I am very happy for the whole team, I was finally able to perform for them“.
