The emergency landing of 2 Israeli citizens aboard the Fly Dubai airline at Karachi Airport has been revealed.
According to a report by The Times of Israel, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that two Israeli citizens were among the passengers on the Fly Dubai Airlines flight to Sri Lanka.
He said that an emergency landing was made in Karachi, Pakistan late at night. It should be noted that Israel does not have diplomatic relations with Pakistan.
The ministry said it had contacted “concerned” people to ensure the welfare of Israeli citizens. The ministry said the flight resumed its journey with the Israelis a short time later.
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) spokesperson Saifullah Khan said that he was unaware of the presence of Israeli nationals on the FlyDubai flight.
Flydubai flight FZ-569, en route from Dubai to Colombo, Sri Lanka, had to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 11pm on Wednesday following the condition of a passenger on board deteriorated.
Saifullah told Arab News, “There was just a report regarding flydubai flight 569 that it was traveling from Dubai to Colombo and the woman’s condition worsened and it landed in Karachi at 11 pm on Wednesday but the woman died. It was done, his body was sent to Khitmat Khalq Foundation in Malir and the plane left at 3 am on Thursday. It did not say how many passengers were on board and what their nationalities were.
Saifullah Khan clarified that the passenger who died in the Fly Dubai flight was a Sri Lankan citizen. His body was later flown to Sri Lanka in a separate flight.
