THE Land Bank Agency has prepared 2,900 hectares of land out of a total of 6,647 hectares of land with HPL status controlled by the Land Bank in the Napu Valley, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi. The land will be designated for the development of the dairy industry and milk processing industry.

Deputy for Strategic Planning and Land Acquisition at the Land Bank Agency, Primento Aribowo, during his visit to Napu together with the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam, Deni Abdi, as well as investors in the dairy cattle industry from Vietnam, stated that the Land Bank Agency was ready to accept investment .

“Of course the Land Bank Agency is ready. The first thing is to prepare the vientir villaine land covering an area of 6,647 hectares for which we have prepared a master plan,” said Aribowo, in Poso, Wednesday, (25/9).

According to him, in the master plan or construction and development planning in question, the Land Bank has prepared livestock and plantation areas that are ready to accept investors.

“Among them are livestock and plantations which are ready to accept investors. We support all of this with the support of the Minister and the regional government,” said Aribowo.

He explained that the presence of investors would certainly help the government in the investment sector, especially in the form of development of the dairy cattle industry and milk processing industry.

This is a form of support for Indonesian President Jokowi, as well as President-elect Prabowo Subianto’s program, drinking milk as an accompaniment to free lunch.

The land area of the Land Bank in Poso, topographically tends to be low with heights ranging from 1048-1400 meters above sea level. Entering the HPL sector in Poso is 117 km from Palu City, which is traversed by the Provincial Road which stretches across the North Lore, East Lore and Lore Peore areas.

During the visit, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman explained that the existence of livestock areas could also support IKN, especially in meeting milk needs, as is the government’s concept.

“Our concept is that IKN should not be like Jakarta, which is supplied with food from several countries. Then horticulture, plantation products, food are supplied from neighboring countries,” said Amran Sulaiman.

Because of this, he revealed that the government’s concept is to make IKN an independent region whose food needs are met from within the country, namely the provinces that are directly adjacent to the IKN area.

“Our dream for IKN is to be food independent, supplied from neighboring provinces. What cannot be fulfilled from IKN, it can be fulfilled from neighbors,” said Amran Sulaiman.

He gave the example of rice, which can be supplied from Central Kalimantan and South Kalimantan. Meanwhile milk, meat and fruit can be supplied from Central Sulawesi.

“Our goal is for IKN to become food independent, in the future it will not be like Jakarta. So that its food needs are met domestically,” stressed the Minister of Agriculture. (MT/J-3)
