New Delhi – Former Indian player Praveen Kumar has said that Lalit Modi, who was the commissioner of the Indian Premier League, threatened to destroy his career. It was during a discussion that Praveen Kumar revealed regarding Lalit Modi’s threat. Praveen Kumar stated that he wanted to play for the Delhi Daredevils team in the first season of IPL and he joined Royal Challengers Bangalore when there were no other options.

“I was not interested in playing for RCB. Because Bangalore was far away from my country. I don’t know English very well. The food there is also not to my liking. Delhi is near my hometown Meerut. It was also easy for me to reach home.”

“I told them that I am interested in playing for Delhi. Lalit Modi called me and threatened to destroy my career,” said Praveen Kumar. Praveen Kumar also stated that I have heard that all bowlers do some artificial things on the ball to get reverse swing.

“Everyone has heard of it being done a little bit. It is too much for Pakistan bowlers. Everyone has done this before. But now cameras are everywhere. If you want to scratch the ball, you have to know how to do it. And if I do that, then if I pass the ball to someone else, he has to know how to use it. It is something to be learned.”- Praveen Kumar said.
